Worst experience ever
1) We left our home at 6:00 PM, got off at Grand River on I75 at 6:30, and finally arrived at the LCA parking deck at 8:20 only to be told that it was passes only.
2) Found a spot on the street after walking through the rain and mud to reach the gate, but saw a sign that my wife's purse was too large, so we were denied entry.
3) Texted a friend inside the arena who informed us that the show was already at intermission, prompting us to leave and head back home.
4) Upon arriving home, we checked our email and discovered a message from "313" advising us to leave early due to expected heavy traffic, that parking would be passes only, and that purses larger than 4" x 6" were not allowed.
5) This email arrived 13 minutes after we had departed, and earlier attempts to obtain parking passes were unsuccessful as the system was consistently down.
6) Very disappointed in the poor communication and lack of assistance from on-site staff, we felt upset for wasting money and ruining what should have been a pleasant evening.
7) Upon reaching the gate at 8:40, there was still a line of people waiting to enter, with approximately half having oversized purses and being denied entry.
8) It seems we were not the only ones affected by the situation, and as a result, we have no plans of attending any events at LCA or using Ticketmaster in the near future.
